LATE WINTER is a portrait project about retired people from different regions of Kyrgyzstan. For the majority of them, pension was the main hope and unrealized dream. Because nowadays when the Soviet Union collapsed they were decommissioned after years of working for the government as "retired" with a very low pension about 30-50 USD per month. Their hope has been displaced to tough reality, where their own children are left alone because of no job. Loneliness, hopelessness, and suffering became an integral part of their life.
